Imogen fell in love with the harp aged four after seeing a traditional harpist perform in a restaurant whilst on holiday with her Grandparents in the Austrian Alps. She kept this dream alive for another four years whilst taking piano lessons and finally began learning the harp when she was eight.

She began lessons with Anna Lockett in Oxfordshire who immediately recognised her talent for the instrument and encouraged her in her busy teenage years playing for the County Youth Orchestra, in harp ensembles, solo performances, accompanying singers and countless weddings. During this time she performed at many exciting venues including The Royal Albert Hall, Blenheim Palace, the Sheldonian Theatre and Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir.

In 2012 she spent a year in Scotland studying both classical and Scottish traditional harp (Clarsach) with Hannah Phillips and Helen Macleod. In 2020 she graduated from her BMus in Classical Harp Performance she studied for with Gabriella Dall'Olio and Frances Kelly at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. During this time she discovered she was a passionate and engaging workshop leader and teacher, taking on private pupils and leading composition and performance workshops in local Primary schools and with community groups. She also played regularly for afternoon tea at Sofitel St James and The Waldorf, Astoria.

Imogen has now moved back to her favourite city, the place she was born: Sheffield. She is studying with Eira Lynn Jones and, from September 2021, will embark on her masters degree in performance at the Royal Northern College of Music whilst continuing to build her career as a freelance harpist in the area.
